Music is My Anchor: Tattoo Number Two

It’s been years between my tattoos because I’m the type that doesn’t want to put something permanently on my body unless there’s that extra something special that I’d like to remember always. There has to be a story and a meaning behind it for me.

"My body is my journal, and my tattoos are my story" – Johnny Depp

I’ve had my headphones on my ankle for some time now, but a new idea started forming recently. The first time I thought about the next tattoo I wanted to get, it was silhouetted: a G-Clef merged with a basic anchor in solid black. I got as far as asking for recommendations for places to go. It was March.

The second time I muddled through the idea, the tattoo became more detailed, still black, but with some shading to look almost wooden. I knew it would be a perfect concept to start off. This time I went through a second round of recommendations and made a decision.

But in choosing the tattoo parlor, I knew that the artist could take the concept to the next level, and I was open to ideas.

So, the third time the tattoo changed, I was standing in the tattoo parlor, looking at the design Ian had created. And I knew that it was exactly what I wanted:

Anchor-Clef tattoo designed by Ian Efrom and completed at Little Vinnies Finksburg, MD.
